1/11 Planted Green Zebra tomato seeds that we havrevested from a tomato from our garden last summer. Placed three seeds in each of three small plastic pots, about the size of a coffee cup. I have placed pots on a heating pad which I turn on at night.
1/18 planted, Red House, Tigerella, Burbank and Martian Giant tomatoes. First Green Zebra came up.
1/25 other green zebras coming up. all plants on heating pad. I water with hot water. When the seed husk is still on, I use hot water dripping on it to soften it so that the leaves can grow the husk off. Kris put the plants in the sun to help them grow during the day to push off hull.
2/14, planted six green zebra plants in back garden. Water and fish emulsion in bottom of hole. Red House and Tigerella never came up. They were planted in eggcarton. Planted new seeds in pots and cups.
2/21, planted (from road towards house) 2 martian giants, 2 burbanks, 3 matrian giants in front west garden. Water and fish emulsion in bottom of hole. Red House and Tigerella are coming up. Seed husks “stuck” on leaves. Drip warm water on them every day until the leaves grow the hulls off.
